On September 30, 2025, 100 CNHTC heavy trucks were neatly lined up at Yantai Port, ready to be shipped to Saudi Arabia. With this batch of vehicles going overseas, CNHTC's September heavy truck exports reached 15,000 units, breaking its own record and setting a new high for monthly exports in the domestic heavy truck industry. (The picture shows the celebration ceremony for 15,000 heavy truck exports in September at CNHTC's 2025 Global Partner Conference.)

Since entering the overseas market in 2004, CNHTC has consistently held the top position in China's heavy truck export industry. In its 21st year of overseas expansion, CNHTC has once again delivered a brilliant new achievement. At the China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC) 2025 Global Partner Conference held on October 18th, CNHTC released a set of data:

From January to September, CNHTC achieved total revenue of US$22.89 billion, a year-on-year increase of 14.9%; vehicle sales reached 335,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 22.8%. Among them, heavy-duty truck exports reached 111,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 24.5%. Today, CNHTC's products are distributed across 6 continents and more than 150 countries and regions, with a global market share exceeding 1 million vehicles.

What allows CNHTC to consistently stand at the forefront and continuously create waves? Let's find the answer in this latest report card.

The Stability of Navigating Against the Wind

Sailing thousands of miles, the tide surges.

In recent years, the international competitive landscape has been rapidly reshaped, with tariffs, technological, and environmental barriers rising higher and higher. As more and more automakers expand overseas, domestic market problems such as price wars and excessive homogenization have become increasingly prominent. How to manage risks, maintain competitiveness, and achieve sustainable profitability is a fundamental question that pioneers and leaders like China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC) must constantly confront.

Take Vietnam as an example. Currently, Vietnam is in a period of rapid development characterized by accelerated urbanization and large-scale infrastructure construction, resulting in a huge demand in the truck market. To date, CNHTC has established 35 joint warranty service stations in Vietnam, achieving nationwide sales and after-sales service coverage. Supported by this mature network, in September, CNHTC, together with its Vietnamese dealers, held a roadshow spanning six major cities in Vietnam, ultimately securing orders for over 800 trucks thanks to its excellent product quality and long-standing reputation. By 2030, CNHTC plans to expand its overseas distribution channels to 400 outlets to provide more convenient services to global customers.

Different countries have different customs and cultures, and "culture shock" is a common problem for companies going global. CNHTC's solution is to maximize "localization" by continuously extending its service chain to provide customers with full lifecycle solutions. In a collaboration with a Vietnamese company, facing Vietnam's extremely harsh weather conditions, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC) not only ensured delivery but also organized training activities for local maintenance and driving personnel, effectively guaranteeing the stable operation of the vehicles afterward.

With the increasing global market share and the upgrading of customer consumption concepts, the aftermarket is showing enormous development potential. CNHTC attaches great importance to aftermarket development and has systematically launched businesses such as vehicle financing, fleet management, and used vehicle trade-in and buyback. From January to September this year, CNHTC's aftermarket parts sales revenue increased by 59% year-on-year. At this year's Global Partner Conference, CNHTC launched customized oil, tire, and other parts products for the global market for the first time. In the future, it will also build 63 parts center warehouses overseas, pre-positioning $50 million worth of parts, and launching more precise and flexible service parts policies for global customers.

To achieve stability in overseas markets, it is necessary to not only "win at the front end" but also "ensure a stable supply chain."

On the eve of National Day, CNHTC's Laiwu plant was bustling with activity. They received a notification that an African customer urgently needed vehicles for autumn production, with a very tight delivery schedule. Upon receiving orders from the sales end, the factory responds immediately, production lines work overtime to manufacture vehicles, and the vehicle warehousing department operates 24/7 for delivery, upholding its commitment to customers with "Sinotruk speed." This is Sinotruk's "sales-production" coordinated rapid response mechanism specifically established for its customers.

Currently, Sinotruk has 10 major vehicle production bases in China, with a maximum monthly heavy-duty truck production capacity of 30,000 units. The construction of intelligent factories is a key reason for Sinotruk's increased production capacity. Taking Sinotruk's Laiwu plant as an example, this plant boasts China's first AGV flexible assembly line and a Dürer painting line comparable to high-end passenger vehicles, and has created a fully automated "lights-out factory" for cab welding. In the future, Sinotruk plans to build more lean, intelligent, and green "lighthouse factories," pushing the automation rate of key processes to over 60%.

Today, international orders account for the majority of the Laiwu plant's business. With the recovery in demand, the booming domestic market has also given Sinotruk confidence in its overseas expansion. During the recent National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC) secured over 6,700 domestic orders. The two markets (domestic and international) support and promote each other, forming a virtuous cycle of "walking on two legs" (domestic and international markets).

A Journey of Progress Amidst Challenges

Like rowing against the current, stagnation means regression. Localization of marketing and service is only the initial step; continued effort is needed to achieve new growth.

In traditionally strong markets such as Vietnam and Nigeria, CNHTC has deepened its marketing reforms, gradually extending its sales and service network to second- and third-tier cities and remote areas. By expanding its network and improving its parts supply network, it has significantly increased market coverage and customer reach.

In the Philippines, CNHTC invested in and built an assembly plant. On September 5th, the first complete vehicle successfully rolled off the production line. This plant meets the localized assembly and production needs of chassis and cargo boxes, effectively shortening delivery time and providing dealers with more options. According to statistics, from January to September, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC) saw sales in the African and Southeast Asian markets increase by 37.4% and 41.5% year-on-year, respectively. Currently, CNHTC has 30 operating KD (knock-down) factories globally, with a projected production capacity of 100,000 vehicles by 2030. Localization manufacturing projects in countries such as South Africa and Brazil are also under accelerated construction.

To meet the diverse needs of international customers, CNHTC has conducted localized R&D for its products. In Casablanca, Morocco's largest city, CNHTC-produced engineering vehicles are among the best-selling models. Local customers indicate that compared to European-made models, CNHTC vehicles better meet their needs, offering higher cost-effectiveness and service efficiency, giving them a significant advantage. Over the next five years, CNHTC plans to invest over US$4 billion in R&D, establish a professional R&D team of over 8,000 people, and set up dedicated overseas product R&D institutions for customized product development.

While expanding its core market, CNHTC is also actively exploring new avenues. From January to September, CNHTC's sales in the Middle East market increased by 28.7%, and the high-end market also achieved rapid development. In recent years, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC) has shone brightly at international competitions and exhibitions thanks to its superior product quality, industry-leading technological strength, and unique styling. The newly upgraded Yellow River heavy truck at the Hanover Motor Show, the Howo ultra-high-definition broadcast truck at the Asian Winter Games, and the Sinotruk SWM truck at international competitions have all left a deep impression on global audiences. Leveraging its export advantages in heavy trucks, CNHTC will further expand its business in light trucks, mining trucks, pickups, and vans, truly establishing a powerful product matrix covering the entire range of commercial vehicles.

In the fields of new energy and intelligent driving, CNHTC has also performed exceptionally well. From January to September this year, CNHTC's sales of new energy vehicles increased by 300% year-on-year. Currently, CNHTC's new energy vehicles cover multiple technical routes, including pure electric, hydrogen energy, and hybrid power, with continuous innovative breakthroughs in key core technologies such as electric drive systems and vehicle technology. China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC) will continue to focus on the revolution of electrification, intelligentization, and decarbonization, constantly launching new energy products that better meet market demands, accelerating the mass production of L2+ and L4 level intelligent driving technologies, and delving into cutting-edge fields such as intelligent cockpit development and human-machine intelligent interaction, continuously shaping new competitive advantages.

The Red Pulse Activates Momentum Globally

To avoid losing direction, a compass is needed; to sail steadily, a ballast is needed.

In the era of comprehensively promoting high-level opening up, the Party Committee of CNHTC has thoroughly implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on the Party building work of state-owned enterprises, actively promoted the construction of Party building brands, and successfully built a Party building brand pattern of "one brand per branch, one characteristic per branch." The Party Committee of CNHTC International Company closely follows the deployment of the Group Party Committee, taking the construction of the "Red Pulse Globally" characteristic Party building brand as an anchor, continuously transforming the Party's political and organizational advantages into competitive advantages and development advantages for the company in expanding into international markets. "Red" represents the unwavering political foundation, highlighting the core resolve of Party building; "Vein" signifies the extensive organizational network, referring both to the comprehensive global coverage of Party organizations and the market reach of heavy trucks sold worldwide.

The company's Party Committee has always adhered to the principle of "wherever business expands, Party organizations will be established," and has now built a globally covering organizational system: 8 general Party branches coordinate and 25 Party branches implement the work, jointly promoting the in-depth and practical development of grassroots Party building and fully leveraging the fighting fortress role of Party organizations. Among them, 21 overseas Party branches directly serve the forefront of overseas markets, 4 rear-area Party branches provide solid support, and more than 270 Party members, like "red sparks," are spread across major market regions worldwide, achieving full coverage and comprehensive guidance of overseas business by Party organizations.

"Being able to be deployed, rushing to the front lines, and winning battles" is the clear requirement of the "Red Vein Global" brand for its core Party members, and also the conscious action of all overseas Party members. Closely aligned with overseas business needs, the company's Party Committee has continuously deepened its "Cultivating Pioneers in Ordinary Times, Striving to Be Pioneers in Key Areas, and Relying on Pioneers in Crises" campaign, making Party members the "leading geese" in market expansion and the "vanguard" in overcoming difficulties. Sinotruk International's overseas staff spend an average of over 250 days abroad annually. Far from their homeland, they are rooted in foreign lands, writing a chapter of struggle for Sinotruk employees in foreign soil with the spirit of a "steel team, a fierce and powerful force."

"We Are One"

Faced with a complex global market, simply competing on products and prices is outdated; the ability to organize and operate systematically is the key to breaking through. If enterprises can form a united "fleet" and attack together, they can more easily withstand market fluctuations and capture more development opportunities. This is precisely the advantage of Shandong Heavy Industry Group as a "large group."

China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC) closely follows Shandong Heavy Industry's "1+N" brand matrix, organically linking with its sister companies. From participating in international exhibitions as a group to showcase the group's full-industry-chain and full-business-segment product strength, to sharing technology and channel resources in market expansion, collaboratively serving customers, and providing integrated solutions, CNHTC has not only effectively avoided homogeneous competition but also formed a scale and agglomeration effect through complementary resource advantages, releasing a stronger comprehensive competitiveness.

If "internal collaboration" is the "1.0 basic version" of a company's overseas expansion, then CNHTC's deep cooperation with external partners is the "2.0 upgraded version" of "chain-based win-win." As the leading enterprise in Shandong Province's automotive industry chain and a national leader in the heavy-duty truck industry, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC) has always adhered to the principles of equality, mutual benefit, and win-win cooperation. Leveraging its industry influence and resource integration capabilities, CNHTC proactively reaches agreements with upstream and downstream enterprises in the industry chain to collaborate on overseas expansion. Simultaneously, it deeply integrates with top global resources, working closely with numerous globally renowned strategic suppliers to share resources, collaborate on key projects, and jointly innovate. This has created a safe, stable, responsive, and industry-leading cooperative ecosystem, truly making the supply chain a "win-win chain."

A Larger "Circle of Friends"

In late September, CNHTC's first officially authorized showroom officially opened in Benghazi, a major port city in Libya.

Currently, Libya is at a critical juncture in its reconstruction, with urgent needs in areas such as engineering construction and logistics transportation. The newly opened showroom integrates product exhibition, business negotiations, and after-sales service, providing local customers with a one-stop solution. CNHTC also plans to build a KD factory, parts center, and training center in Libya, continuously injecting momentum into Libya's reconstruction and further contributing to its economic recovery and social development. The path to global expansion is far more than just the simple flow of products and services; it's a process of building connections and fostering deep interaction among people. Relationships built on warmth and connection are more magnetic and engaging, attracting more and more people to join their "circle of friends" and creating a powerful synergy.

China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC) understands this well. While providing high-quality products and services to local communities, it actively participates in various initiatives to improve the local living and working environment, driving industrial transformation and upgrading. This year, with the support of the Kazakh government and the Karaganda Regional Government, CNHTC established Saran Machinery Co., Ltd. The new factory will be equipped with Kazakhstan's first electrophoretic metal processing production line, which will not only significantly improve local technological infrastructure but is also expected to create up to 1,000 jobs, bringing tangible benefits to the local population.

In addition to promoting the localization of marketing, service, and production, CNHTC also spares no effort in localizing its talent pool, striving to cultivate outstanding personnel with an international perspective and cross-cultural communication skills. This year, CNHTC held its first training camp for foreign trainers at its headquarters. Upon returning home, these foreign trainees will bring with them the advanced knowledge they gained at China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC) to contribute their wisdom and strength to the development of their respective countries. In the future, CNHTC will also build 100 new training centers, continuously supplying the global commercial vehicle industry with highly qualified personnel.

"Running" Towards a Broader Future

With a grand vision, the world will follow.

On October 18th, CNHTC held its 2025 Global Partner Conference, bringing together 620 partners from 97 countries and regions in Qingdao to celebrate this grand development event.

At the conference, CNHTC projected that its heavy-duty truck exports would exceed 150,000 units this year, setting a new historical record. Simultaneously, CNHTC firmly stated its plan to export 250,000 heavy-duty trucks, 100,000 light trucks, 50,000 light vehicles, and 3,000 mining trucks by 2030, with an overseas aftermarket revenue target of US$1 billion.

The latest performance report shows that China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC) can "always stand at the forefront" and dare to challenge even higher waves. The key lies in breaking free from the vicious cycle of zero-sum game-like "involution" and using incremental thinking to open up new horizons: deepening its internal competitiveness and seizing new opportunities externally to achieve organic synergy between internal and external efforts; rejecting short-sighted gains and focusing on long-term development to achieve a dynamic balance between short-term benefits and long-term value; and adhering to open cooperation and pursuing mutual benefit and win-win results to achieve symbiotic prosperity for both the individual and the whole.

With clear goals, correct direction, and decisive action, CNHTC has become "stronger through storms and more courageous in the face of raging waves," thus riding the waves and sailing steadily towards a bright future.

This year is the decisive year for the "14th Five-Year Plan" and a crucial year for the opening of the "15th Five-Year Plan." Facing a new voyage, CNHTC will firmly promote five major transformations: "greening, digitalization, service orientation, internationalization, and diversification," relying on hard work and striving to propel the construction of a manufacturing powerhouse to a new level. This is not only a commitment to the century-old Sinotruk, but also the most powerful response to the construction of a strong country and the great cause of national rejuvenation.
